We understand that the customization process can be complicated but don’t fret, we’re here to help! In our FAQ, you’ll find answers to the common questions customers ask us.

Where are you located?

We’re located in downtown Milton at the corner of Main Street East and Martin Street.

What are your hours of operation?

Our store hours are as follows:
Monday to Friday: 10:30am to 7pm
Saturday: 10:30am to 4pm
Sunday: Closed
Please note that we are closed on long weekends and Canadian holidays.

What brands do you offer?

We offer a variety of brands to fit your budget and style. Some of the brands you may be familiar with include Gildan, Bella + Canvas, American Apparel, Fruit of the Loom, New Era, Nike, and many more.

Are youth sizes an option?

Absolutely! Check out our Youth section to find the type of garment you wish to decorate. Most of our youth products are also available in the adult equivalent. See our youth product offerings here!

I can’t find a product on your website. Would it be possible to source?

With thousands of products available to decorate and customize, not every product we offer is on our website. If you don’t see something you’re looking for, please reach out to us through email or phone and our friendly staff would be happy to help you source your product. If we can’t source the exact product, we will offer alternative suggestions.

How do I care for my decorated garment?

To ensure the longevity of your custom printed garment, we recommend washing the item inside out in cold water and hang dry.

How will I know what the sizing of product is?

For sizing of garments, please refer to the individual product pages found on our website under the Sizing tab. Still having some trouble? Please email us at and we’d be more than happy to provide you with the sizing for the particular product you’re inquiring about. Sizes are provided by the manufacturers of the garment and are accurate within +/-1”.

Where can I upload my artwork?

Your designs can be uploaded directly into our online Designer when customizing your order. If you’re experiencing any issues with your artwork upload, please forward your design over to and a customer service representative will be happy to assist you.

What file formats do you accept for my artwork/design?

We can recreate most artwork and digitize designs as necessary. Vector artwork is always the preferred file type (.ai or .eps), we also accept .PSD, .PDF, .TIFF, .JPG, JPEG, .BMP, .PNG, .DOC, .DOCX, .PPT, and .PPTX.

What is the largest size I can screen print my design?

The maximum screen print size will vary dependent on the design, the garment and decoration location. Our standard print size for an unisex adult shirt is (HxW) 13”x13”.

What is the largest size I can embroider my design?

The size of your embroidery is up to you, but please keep in mind that there are some limitations, which can vary depending on your design, garment and decoration location. Embroidery is priced based on the number of stitches in your logo, which is determined by the size of the design.
Our quotes are based on a stitch count of 10,000, which usually accounts for most designs to be decorated on the left chest, sleeve or on hats. Full front or back embroideries are estimated at 25,000 stitches. There may be additional charges if there are special requirements necessary for your design.

Do you offer design services?

Our in-house graphic designers are standing by to help you bring your designs to life! Depending on the kind of design work you’re looking for, our experienced staff can help you at any stage of the creative process. Pricing can vary depending on the complexity of the work. How do you match the colors in my design?

Colours are matched as closely as possible to the original design. Please keep in mind, due to differences in screen calibrations, colouring in our online Designer and/or the original design may appear different than the final printed piece. We match colours as closely as possible but it should be noted that different digital colour systems (CMYK, HEX, RGB) do not convert at 100% to printing colour systems (Pantones, thread colouring, DTG ink systems).

Yes! All the garments we offer decorated, we also offer blank. Check out our blanks site at

How is my order price determined?

Pricing is determined by a few factors: the type of garment you’re looking to decorate, the number of pieces in your order, the decoration method chosen and the number of locations you’re looking to decorate. Pricing for our print methods are determined as follows:
1. Screen Printing is priced based on the number of colours in your design.
2. Embroidery is priced is not based on the number of colours in your design, but rather the number of stitches in your design. Stitches are determined by the complexity and size of your design.
3. Direct-to-Garment printing is based on the size of your design without any sort of colour limitations.
4. Vinyl Transfer is priced based on the size of your print.

How and when is my payment processed for my order?

For orders placed online, after you have designed your garments and added them to your cart, payment is taken once the checkout process has been completed.
For manually processed orders, we first prepare a quote with the details you’ve provided for your order. In your quote, you will receive the pricing for your order along with a proof for your approval. Once approved, the full amount owing is processed and your order is then placed into our production schedule. Your order can be tracked through every step of the production process through your account!

What payment methods do you accept?

For online transactions, we accept all major credit cards, PayPal and e-transfers. For in-store transactions, we also accept debit card payments.

I’m picking up my order in-store. Can I pay in-person?

Payment can definitely be made in-person! Production for orders doesn’t begin until full payment has been made for your order.

I’d rather speak to someone about my order instead of ordering online. Can I speak to a representative to discuss the details?

It is our goal to make your online experience as easy as possible, but we do understand that custom can sometimes require extra care. Our friendly staff is here to help you if you prefer to place your order over the phone or in-person. We’d be happy to walk you through the process from start to finish.

What is Screen Printing?

Best used for bulk printing, accurate colour-matching and printable on almost anything!
Screen Printing is the process of running inks through a fine mesh screen to print your designs. The design is separated by colour and exposed onto individual screens. Inks are then run through these screens to bring your design to life! This decoration method is your most cost-effective option, especially when doing large runs. Team and company uniforms, charity events and campaign shirts are only a few examples of orders that would benefit from screen printing.

Will my design fade on my decorated garments?

No! When done properly, screen printed designs will not crack or peel. They are long lasting prints and with the proper garment care, are very durable.

What is Embroidery?

Best used for small or large runs on polos, jackets and hats!
Using needle and thread, designs are stitched into most any garment. Your design is digitized – our fancy word for the file we create – and loaded into our industrial machines that will recreate it using thread.
Embroidery orders can be done on small batch or in bulk runs, making it perfect for any use. This decoration method is ideal for polos, jackets and hats to give your custom project distinction.

What is Direct-to-Garment printing?

Best used for small runs, full-colour designs and the quickest turnaround!
Picture your desktop inkjet printer. Now instead of printing on paper, it prints directly onto clothing! Our Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printers, using special CMYK inks, digitally print your artwork without any design or colour limitations. This type of printing is best for cotton shirts and small batch or even single piece runs. Birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties or even printing a photograph onto a shirt, DTG is your best option!

What is Vinyl Transfer?

Best for single-colour, text based designs, names and numbers!
Vinyl transfer is a plastic material, which is available in a variety of colours. Using our vinyl cutters, your design is mirrored and cut into the colour material of your choice. It is then pulled away from the material that is uncut to reveal your design. Your design is then positioned onto the garment and transferred using our industrial heat presses.

How do I get a quote?

There are a couple options available for getting a quote for your order:
1. You are able to get an instant quote on our website at by choosing your garment, quantities, and decoration method.
2. Using our Request A Quote form, you can fill out all the necessary information about your order and we’ll get back to you with a quote within 48 hours of receipt.
3. You’re always welcome to send your quote request directly to our email at or give us a call and we’d be happy to help!

Are there minimum quantities?

There are minimum quantities based on the type of decoration method you choose. Direct-to-Garment and Vinyl printing does not have any minimums, while Screen Printing and Embroidery does have a minimum of 12 units.

I would like a sample of the shirt I wish to decorate. Is that possible?

Absolutely! We can order blank samples on most of our products. Ask the Printd staff for more details.

Do you provide printed samples?

Due to the time and cost involved in the production of a single piece for screen printing, we do not provide printed samples. For embroidery orders, samples can be prepared at a cost to the customer and will delay the turnaround time of the final order. Digital proofs are provided with each order, and we assure that prints will resemble the proof as close as possible.

Can I see how my print will look before ordering?

Proofs are provided before orders are confirmed and payments are made. The digital proof provides a visual representation of the design, size, and placement of the artwork. It should be noted that digital proofs are approximations of the final printed product as designs may appear larger or smaller on some pieces depending on the size of the garment. Also, due to differences in screen calibrations, colouring on the proof may appear different than the final printed piece. We match colours as closely as possible but it should be noted that different digital colour systems (CMYK, HEX, RGB) do not convert at 100% accuracy to printing colour systems (Pantone, thread colouring, vinyl). Furthermore, the appearance of the same print colour on one garment colour compared to another can vary.

Can I supply my own garments?

On orders of 12 units and above, customer supplied garments are accepted, while orders of less than 12, garments must be purchased directly through Printd. Customer supplied garments are the responsibility of the customer. If a customer is dissatisfied with the decoration, we will happily reprint the job, but the garments are not replaced by Printd. If the customer chooses to source garments through Printd, it will carry a charge; printing will be done at no cost to the customer.

Can I have different styles of clothing in my order?

You may have different styles of clothing within the same order, but colouring must remain the same*. This is because the same print process will differ depending on the colour of the garment. The size and colour of the artwork must remain the same on all garments.
*This can be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please ask with your Printd staff for more details.

Can I make changes to my order after it’s been approved and invoiced?

Once an order has been approved and invoiced, we cannot make changes. It is important to ensure all details of your order are accurate when the order is placed.

I made an order and it’s been approved. Can I add additional pieces?

Once an order is approved and invoiced, we cannot add or remove sizes. Additional pieces will be treated as a new order and will be priced accordingly. For example, if a twelve (12) shirt screen printing order is made, and you wish to add an additional piece, that item will not be screen printed and will be decorated using our direct-to-garment or vinyl print methods.

Can I cancel an order?

Once an order has been approved and invoiced, it cannot be cancelled.

What is your turnaround time?

Our standard turnaround time is seven (7) working days from the date payment is completed.

Are there any rush delivery options?

A 3-day rush turnaround is also available for an additional 25% premium.

Can I pick up my order in-store?

Yes! Once you’ve received your completed order email, we are open for pickup during our regular business hours:
Monday to Friday: 10:30am to 7pm
Saturday: 10:30am to 4pm

What is your return policy?

Because all orders are customized, we do not allow any returns. If a customer is dissatisfied with their decoration, and it does not resemble (within a reasonable limit) the digital proofs, we will reprint your order at no additional cost, provided that the original garments are returned. We will provide a full refund on any stained, damaged, or incomplete garments.
